Music Video Premiere: Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova) - Rihanna

Published by shemah under Music/Music Videos Edit This

rihanna.jpgR&B singer, Rihanna, has released her new music video for her single, Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova) just days before speaking out for the first time regarding her assault by then boyfriend, hip hop artist, Chris Brown. In the black and white music video, Rihanna portrays a very dark, edgy and hard look - wearing garters and a patch eye walking around New York.

Anthony Mandler,  who has directed Rihanna’s previous music videos such as “Hate That I Love You” (feat. Ne-Yo), “Disturbia” and the upcoming “Russian Roulette” was quoted in a recent interview with MTV, saying,

“We definitely talked about the song and the words behind it: the idea of taking her place back, in a bravado and aggressive way,” he said. “That’s why we went for a more classic hip-hop street feel. It’s an unusual approach for someone like Rihanna, but again, I’m never surprised by her desire to push the boundaries. This goes for all elements, not just what I’m doing behind the camera.”

Anyways, check out the Music Video for Wait Your Turn (The Wait Is Ova) below:

Hot Pick: Jesse Eisenberg

Published by shemah under Actors/Actresses, Movies Edit This

jesse-eisenberg.jpgJesse Eisenberg first appeared on film as an awkward teen in the indie flick Rodger Dodger back in 2002. He then appeared in other roles such as The Emperor’s Club, M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village (starring Bryce Dallas Howard), Wes Craven’s Cursed, The Squid and The Whale etc.

In 2007, Jesse Eisenberg played the lead role in The Education of Charlie Banks - Fred Durst’s directorial debut - in which he played an college student, Charlie Banks who faces old problems concerning his childhood bully. I thought he played his character brilliantly! I just absolutely love that movie!

Jesse Eisenberg also teamed up with Twilight star, Kristen Stewart in the indie flick, Adventureland - a comedy set in the summer of 1987 and centered around a recent college grad (Eisenberg) who takes a nowhere job at his local amusement park, only to find it’s the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world. Which was also a great film.. a funny and genuine coming-of-age movie. Not funny ha-ha like Superbad, but it was definitely worth MY while.

Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in Adventureland (2009)

This fall, Jesse Eisenberg has teamed up with Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin and Emma Stone in Zombieland, a horror/comedy film about two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies! It hasn’t played in cinemas here yet, but I’ll definitely head to theaters once it does.

The 26-yr old actor from Queens is one of the actors of this generation to look out for (appearing in numerous movies coming out in 2010) joining the likes of Michael Cera, Emile Hirsch,  Evan Ross, just to name a few. If you’re a fan of his (which I am), check out this funny article - Jesse Eisenberg’s Survival Guide: 10 Rules To Live By.
