Based on the novella by Neil Gaiman of the same name, Coraline is a animated stop-motion fantasy film that tells the story of an 11-year old who has to relocate to Michigan to Oregon, leaving all nearest and dearest to her, behind. With her parents being distracted with their move and their new job, Coraline finds it hard to adapt to her new environment. She soon befriends, a boy her own age, Wybie Lovat, two elderly British actresses, Miss Spink and Forcible and the eccentric Russian, Mr. Bobinsky.

Doubtful that her stay in Oregon will be anything but fun, she soon discovers otherwise. Coraline has found a secret door in her house leading to a place where it holds a reality so similar to her own - only better! The people in  this parallel reality seem much more inviting and pays more attention to her. However, soon, it seem that there’s more to it than that - when these visits to the other place turns dangerous and Coraline is determined to get back home and save her family.
