Upcoming: Public Enemies (2009)
Public Enemies is a film adaptation based on Bryan Burrough’s book Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933–34. It focuses on the story of FBI agent, Melvin Purvis and his attempts to stop the notorious American gangsters, John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd - from the criminal spree that has been going on rampantly in Chicago during the Great Depression in the 1930s.
From the man that produced Academy Award Winning movies such as The Last of The Mohicans (1992), Ali (2001) and The Aviator (2004), Michael Mann is the director behind the movie, Public Enemies. Starrring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, Billy Crudup as J. Edgar Hoover, Christian Bale as Melvin Purvis, Channing Tatum as Pretty Boy Floyd, Marion Cotillard as Billie Frechette - Dillinger’s girlfriend.
The movies is rated R and is set for release on 1st July 2009.
