Presto - Pixar Short Film
Presto is a Pixar short film that was featured in the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Pixar’s Wall-E. The short animation film is a story about Presto DiGiotagione, a master magician doing hat tricks and his un-cooperative rabbit, Alec Azam. In the first scene you can see Alec desperately struggling to obtain an out-of-reach carrot. As soon as Alec was about to be given the treat by Presto, it was already time to go on stage.
Directed, written and starred by veteran Pixar animator Doug Sweetland, Presto was marked a success and received rave reviews. This is Sweetland’s directorial debut. Presto was in part, influenced by classics such as Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, Marx Brothers and Charlie Chaplin.
