Spread is a sex comedy film about Nikki (Ashton Kutcher) who is a fun loving, sexual grifter who uses his sexual prowess, good looks and charm to make his way in life. He makes his way into the hearts and the lives of the city’s richest women while they give him a place to stay, A-list access and fantastic gifts.
Nikki’s latest lover is a beautiful middle aged attorney, Samantha (Anne Heche) who gives him more than he’s ever had before. But then he meets a waitress his own age, Heather (Margarita Levieva). Heather comes to visit him one day at Samantha’s place while Samantha was away and she mistakenly believes that the place belongs to Nikki. Unbeknownst to Nikki, Heather lives by playing the same game.
Soon, the truth of their unfolding relationship forces a choice between love and money, and Nikki has to decide whether he can live on his own once and for all in the hopes of finding something real.

Additional info: Margarita Levieva is a Russian-born American actress who appeared in the Fox series, Vanished. She also appeared in the 2009 comedy Adventureland. Her other film acting credits include indie films Billy’s Choice as well as Noise, starring Tim Robbins, Bridget Moynahan and William Hurt. She also appeared in the first episode of NBC’s drama, Kings.
For my Soundtrack Pick of Today (SPOT) and Music Monday, I chose the soundtrack to the 1998 movie, Great Expectations.
The film was directed by Alfonso Cuaron, starring Ethan Hawke, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hank Azaria, Anne Bancroft and Robert De Niro. It was a movie adaptation and modernization of Charles Dickens‘ classic story of the same name.
Among one of the songs included in the 1998 movie soundtrack of Great Expectations was Duncan Sheik’s Wishful Thinking! Enjoy this one!

The Box is an upcoming suspense/thriller film, written and directed by Richard Kelly, based on the 1970 short story, “Button, Button” written by Richard Matheson.
The film is about a suburbun couple, Arthur Lewis (James Marsden) and Norma Lewis (Cameron Diaz) with a young ailing son, who are facing some financial difficulties in their life. One day, a mysterious stranger (Frank Langella) shows up on their doorstep with a mysterious box.
The box contains a button - if they choose to push it, they will receive $1 million. However, once the button is pushed, simultaneously, it will cause the death of someone in the world that they do not know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in a horrific moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.
