West of Midnight presents a Whitewater films production, Greta,  an independent film written by Michael Gilvary, about a 16-year old girl, Greta (Hilary Duff) who is shipped off to her grandparent’s - Joseph (Michael Murphy) and Katherine (Ellen Burstyn) - place as her mother moves on to her 3rd marriage.

Unhappy and depressed with her life, Greta vows to commit suicide by the end of summer. She compiles a list of things to do before she dies as well as suicide methods. She befriends, Julie (Evan Ross), a young man who was just released from juvie and upsets him when he finds out what she’s up to.

However, a near catastrophe becomes a wake up call for Greta and she realizes how her actions affect the people around her.

Additional info: Evan Ross is the son of legendary singer, Diana Ross and can be seen in “Gardens of The Night” starring opposite John Malkovich and Tom Arnold, HBO movie “Life Support” opposite Queen Latifah, “Pride” starring opposite Terrence Howard and the late Bernie Mac. He recently starred in “Black Water Transit” opposite Laurence Fishburne, and another recent film, “Linewatch” opposite Cuba Gooding Jr. One of his upcoming movies, is “Upstate” where he will star opposite Mischa Barton.

Academy award nominee, Terrence Howard was quoted as saying, “I’ve seen in him abilities and talents greater than I’ve ever seen in myself or in any other young actor. He’s naturally equipped with his mother’s talents. I would like to see him win an Academy award one day because he is truly gifted”.
