So Kanye West does what he does best at awards shows.. which is ruin other artist’s victory moments. The 2009 MTV VMAs were not without its moments either. When Taylor Swift was announced as the winner of Best Female Video, Swift barely had a moment to say anything.

A very shell-shocked Taylor Swift stated,

“I always dreamed about what it would be like to win one of these one day… I never thought it would happen.”

As Taylor continued, Kanye interrupted.. rudely roaring,

“Hey Taylor, I’m really happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. Of ALL TIME!!”

Poor Taylor Swift. She looked so embarrassed and totally humiliated that she just stood there unable to continue. The crowd then booed Kanye West and gave Taylor Swift a much deserved standing ovation.

However, Beyonce totally saved the day when she invited Taylor Swift on stage for a do-over when Beyonce won Video Of The Year. When receiving her “moon-man”, Beyonce said,

I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So, I’d like for Taylor to come out and have her moment.

Beyonce and Taylor Swift who both wore bright-red dresses, exchanged a hug before Beyoncé passed the mic to the teen artist.“Maybe we can try this again,” Swift said, drawing a laugh.

“I would really like to thank Roman White, who directed the video, and Lucas Till for being in it,” Swift said. “I would like to thank all the fans on Twitter and MySpace and everyone that came out to my shows this summer. And I would like to thank my little brother’s high school for letting us shoot there.”

That was just SUPER CLASSY and AMAZING of Beyonce to give back Taylor Swift moment! Shame on Kanye for doing that to a woman - a teenage girl, no less. I haven’t actually checked the definition of obnoxious in the dictionary. It might actually be: Kanye West.
