Chris Hemsworth made his mark in Hollywood when he starred as Captain George Kirk, in J.J Abram’s 2009 Star Trek film.  However, this 26-year old Australian actor, who was born and raised in Melbourne, was already a famous face back in Oz, playing the role of Kim Hyde in Australia’s famous soap, Home and Away.

Chris Hemsworth has since moved to L.A. and nabbed roles in films like, The Perfect Getaway (starring Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich), the 80’s war film remake Red Dawn (starring Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas), an upcoming horror film, The Cabin in The Woods (starring the amazing Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford) and the upcoming Marvel comic adaptations, Thor and The Avengers (in which he reprises his role as Thor).

Meanwhile, Chris’s little brother, 19-year old Liam Hemsworth has an upcoming film with Miley Cyrus, The Last Song - a film written by Nicholas Sparks a rebellious girl who is sent to a Southern beach town for the summer to stay with her father. Through their mutual love of music, the estranged duo learn to reconnect. [Check out the movie trailer for The Last Song.]

Liam Hemsworth also starred opposite Australian actress, Melissa George (The Amityville Horror, 30 Days of Night, Grey’s Anatomy) in Triangle - a story about the passengers of a yachting trip in the Atlantic Ocean who, when struck by mysterious weather conditions, jump to another ship only to experience greater havoc on the open seas.

Liam Hemsworth also appeared for a couple of minutes in Knowing (starring Nicholas Cage) as Spencer. If memory serves me right, he was one of Nic Cage’s student.

I absolutely love Chris but not sure about how good Liam’s acting is.. Still, these Hemsworth brothers are planning to take over Hollywood by storm or what?
