Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil, Ultraviolet, The Fifth Element) sat down with the awesome peepz from ShockTilYouDrop.com to talk about her new movie, ‘A Perfect Getaway‘, her character in the film and some upcoming film projects - Resident Evil trilogy, The Fourth Kind and Stone with Edward Norton.

Milla Jovovich, in ‘A Perfect Getaway’, plays the role of Cydney, a newlywed who goes for an adventurous backpacking honeymoon with husband Cliff (Steve Zahn) only to find out that something more horrifying will turn paradise into hell.

Lindsay Lohan appears to have landed a role on Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Grindhouse’ spin-off, ‘Machete‘. The newly blond actress confirmed via Twitter, excitedly stating, “Something was made official today!!!!!!!!!” with a link to “Machete’s” IMDB.com page.

Director Robert Rodriguez hinted he wanted to team up with the “Mean Girls” star in an interview with MTV.com at Comic Con.

“I can’t say too much about it. Except that we start shooting in a couple weeks. These things come together very quickly,” Rodriguez said. “We’re casting right now, and the script just came out great… There are a lot of people we’re sending it to, big names — but nobody that we’ve signed yet.”

“Lindsay [Lohan]’s cool. There’s actually a cool part in the movie for her — if she takes it.”

Rachelle Lefevre, most widely known for her role as vampire baddie, Victoria, in the Twilight Saga, Twilight and New Moon, has been replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard, for the third movie, ‘Eclipse’.

Lefevre was “stunned” and “saddened” by Summit Entertainment’s decision to recast her role as Victoria - a character which she says she “loves and is passionate “about”. In a statement that she released, which can be found on Access Hollywood, she states:

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse.’

I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.

My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.

 

I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. As I mentioned before, I am also saddened by the recent recasting news. I could see Rachelle Lefevre bringing out the whole nine yard of evil in “Eclipse” which she plays a main component of the movie. It definitely is a shame to see her go.

However, I guess now all we can do is wait and see how it goes with Bryce Dallas Howard. We might be in for a pleasant surprise!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse starts shooting on August 17th, 2009 and is set for release on June 30th, 2010.
