Taking The Stage is a musical reality show set at the School for Creative and Performing Arts that centers around students with different majors to showcase their talents. The show is produced by Nick Lachey for MTV. I sure do hope that MTV decides to air the second season because I’m sure a lot of people would want to find out what happens to Jasmine, Tyler and Mia Carruthers.. not to forget Maalik and Matthew and Shaakira and JJ!! I hope they still feature Aaron ‘coz he is just suuper cool!

Anyways, this song, Let It Rock was played in the episode where Maalik and Shaakira, Aaron and Mia, Jasmine and Tyler danced to during the couples dance “face-off”. Maalik and Shaakira won by the way!! HOLLAAA!!

The songs are a combination of pop/rock/ska/alternative/punk… you name it, they find a way to weave in genres that young listeners can enjoy and relate to. Bandslam is a film about Will Burton (Gaelan Connell), the new kid in town, who was approached by gifted singer/songwriter, Charlotte Banks (Alyson Michalka) to save and manage her fledgling rock/ska band.

The reason for doing so is so that Charlotte can get go head-to-head against her egotistical ex-boyfriend Ben (Scott Porter) at the biggest music event of the year - the Battle of The Bands. Meanwhile, Will finds himself falling for Sa5m (Vanessa Hudgens), who is absolutely amazing on the guitar and has a voice to die for.
