Taking The Stage is a musical reality show set at the School for Creative and Performing Arts that centers around students with different majors to showcase their talents. The show is produced by Nick Lachey for MTV. I sure do hope that MTV decides to air the second season because I’m sure a lot of people would want to find out what happens to Jasmine, Tyler and Mia Carruthers.. not to forget Maalik and Matthew and Shaakira and JJ!! I hope they still feature Aaron ‘coz he is just suuper cool!

Anyways, this song, Let It Rock was played in the episode where Maalik and Shaakira, Aaron and Mia, Jasmine and Tyler danced to during the couples dance “face-off”. Maalik and Shaakira won by the way!! HOLLAAA!!

Paula Abdul has announced via Twitter that she will be leaving American Idol - TV’s biggest reality competition show. Paula tweeted, “With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol.”
After weeks of speculation, Paula Abdul and Fox has both confirmed that the singer/judge/choreographer will not be returning to Idol for next season. (Abdul gave notice through proper channels before posting on Twitter, according to a Fox spokesperson).
Paula Abdul says in her statement:
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me. It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month. I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

So I pretty much spent the whole of last night watching “From G’s to Gents (Season 1)” online. Yeah, I had watched Slumdog Millionaire and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (reviews coming soon) the previous night that tonight I just opted for reality tv night.

Anyways, From G’s to Gents is a reality show produced by Jamie Foxx and hosted by Mr. Fonzworth Bentley - to try changing Gs (gangstas, goons, thugs) into perfect gentlemen with the right tools and training. Basically, like trying to turn Eliza Doolittle into a Duchess in My Fair Lady, but with a whole lot of cussing, violence and aggression.
The transformation of every G towards the end was nothing short of remarkable. Check out Creepa a.k.a. Thaddeus! But then again, you can take the man out of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the man.

It was entertaining, though and sure you get a lot of drama too, but what reality show doesn’t, right? So make sure you check out Season 2 of From G’s to Gents.
